I am currently in my last phase as a PhD candidate (PhD.rer.nat.) at the Technical University of Munich. My research focus is on risk assessments of the impacts of land use activities on water resources and ecosystem services. I completed a MSc in Conservation Ecology at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in 2011 and a BSc in Food Science with Chemistry at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in 2006

I try to not only emphasize the importance of science and maths related subjects, but also give a window of opportunity for students to see how enjoyable these subjects can be. Many students only see the now and impossible, but once they have a feel of related exciting careers they generally change their opinion of such subjects. As I am a native English speaker I can assist with English reading and writing. My first time abroad was as a Rotary Youth Exchange student to the United States. As a 17 year old living abroad for one year was a great challenge, but highly rewarding Currently, I am a DAAD scholarship holder for students from southern Africa. I furthermore, obtained golden key status when upon completion of my MSc at the Stellenbosch University, South Africa In Munich I have tutored Biology, Maths, Chemistry and Earth Science. Gaining much experience tutoring IB Biology HL, I have recognized that the syllabus for this subject is incredibly hard and even more so difficult for students who are not native English. Due to a great volume of work I recommend year round tutoring for IB Biology HL.

Hobbies
I research Environmental Science and Ecology, with particular interest for Marine and Freshwater Science. My skills to teach Science related subjects are excellent. On a one to one basis I have the ability to motivate students to enjoy these subjects. I am multilingual and I can teach easily in English and Spanish. I can also assist in German, particularly with subjects which has their own language (Mathematics and Chemistry). I am furthermore willing to teach elementary and intermediate English and Spanish as foreign languages. Revising and editing English written documents is also not a problem.
