Education
I hold a M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from Technical University Munich. Prior to that I have concluded a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering with First Class Honors at University College London. The academic credentials to pursue further education I have gained during my time in IB Diploma Programme at International School Hamburg. During my formative education I have been awarded a number of scholarships and prizes for my academic performance and volunteering engagement. These include Deutschlandstipendium for two consecutive years 2017-2019, Buro Happold Student Scholarship in 2015 and Community & Service Award in 2012.
Experience
I have discovered my passion for tutoring back in 2010 when I was still in secondary school. Back then I consistently helped a friend of mine to prepare for her science tests. This side activity of mine then quickly evolved to include more and more students to the point where I found myself completely booked out. Having started early my tutoring career, I have now tutored 40+ students ranging from 5th grade to university level (Bachelors degree) in a variety of subjects including Maths (Studies/SL/HL), Physics (SL/HL), Chemistry (SL/HL), Geography (SL/HL), History (SL/HL), Environmental Science (SL/HL) and Statistics. In addition to that I have also helped my tutees in mastering the skills needed to succeed in final exams and prepare for university. These include self-organisation, time & stress management, planning & scheduling, general study techniques, exam preparation strategies, essay & scientific report writing, and presentation skills. My international and diverse education background has enabled me to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to help school-and university students to power through the most stressful and challenging times in their lives. Tutoring for me is more than just a side job; as nothing is more fulfilling to me than seeing my students understand and develop appreciation for subject(s) that they previously disliked and/or found challenging.
